Responsibilities
Planning
Develop short-term and long-term demand and supply balance for people, equipment, materials and facilities incorporating all four subsidiary’s needs. Provide forecasts and plans as a basis for implementing appropriate changes to deliver business needs.
Develop resource and demand analysis based on a detailed understanding of subsidiaries needs and offerings. Conduct scenario planning and impact analysis to support business development efforts etc.
Provide governance, budget control, variance analysis and investigation services as needed to support effective planning within the subsidiaries.
Oversee, manage and support centralised planning teams, as well as embedded resource planning teams in subsidiaries.
Liaise with embedded planning teams within operations, people, procurement, engineering and other teams as needed to ensure effective coordination of all planning and rostering activities and decision-making end to end.
Provide strategic thinking on the planning, prioritisation and oversight of planning and control, forecasting, operational activities, material, and equipment utilisation.
Digital
Develop a thorough understanding of business needs and opportunities for improvement across the subsidiaries, based on assessment and analysis, and working with subsidiary leadership.
Develop digital strategies to address specific needs, where digital solutions are the best fit, in functional or subsidiary specific areas, and create business cases for implementation.
Align with subsidiary leadership team, to prioritise investments, and develop short and longer term plans incorporated into ABRs and subsidiary strategic planning.
Oversee all digital initiatives across the subsidiaries, allocating appropriate resources to realise the business case value. Define requirements for digital application development initiatives.
Responsible for digital analytics resources to support subsidiaries in delivering their requirements in relations to business analysis, reporting improvements etc.
Work with operational departments to establish and maintain effective business continuity plans and risk management programmes to minimise disruption to daily operations due to contingencies.
Provide strategic thinking around digital capabilities and solutions across the subsidiaries.
Develop data analytics capabilities and promote data-driven mindset within the organisation.
Support the companies on strategic planning and assisting COOs in executing various management initiatives to achieve the company’s vision and business objectives.
Identify business solutions through process re-engineering, resources optimisation, and use of advance technology to optimise the return on investment of the company.
Coordinate cross departmental projects within each subsidiary, or across subsidiaries.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or other related discipline.
Minimum 10 years relevant experience in digital, planning, technology management, and project management, preferably in airline, cargo, catering, or laundry industries.
Strong capability in supply and demand / resource planning in multisite operations of a similar scale and complexity.
Strong capability in applying digital solutions and approaches for business benefits in operating businesses.
Effective influencing skills and communicator, able to interact with people at all levels.
Decisive and big-picture mindset.
Excellent analytical skills.
Able to articulate complex ideas in simple terms.
