Customer and Commercial - General Manager

Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving subsidiaries’ sales targets through effective management of sales & pricing strategies for subsidiaries products and services.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to agree sales targets, sales plans and align appropriate trade-offs.
Liaise with subsidiaries leadership and commercial teams on product/ service development to meet targeted market needs and potential, including providing customer / market feedback.
Design commercial strategy to maintain a balanced customer portfolio to maximise third party business contributions.
Develop commercial plans to improve the gross margin of sales in line with commercial targets.
Accountable for third party aviation, non-aviation sales and account management coordination/ activities.
Accountable for Cathay account management across all subsidiary products and services.
Build and execute the most appropriate organisational model to best interact with clients and customers at all stages of the sales cycle to support overall customer and commercial objectives for specific products and services.
Identify the capability needs of customer and commercial teams, and initiating relevant development activities, including training in sales and customer account management.
Discover and evaluate new market opportunities and ways for expanding new business.
Formulate and manage marketing, brand, and public relations strategies for all subsidiaries.
Deliver against KPIS including gross revenue, cost of sales, customer satisfaction and customer retention.
Requirements
Degree holder or above in business administration, marketing, sales or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in commercial, business development and/or customer services fields, including at least 5 years at managerial level. Relevant experience in cargo, airline catering, ground handling and/or laundry industries is highly beneficial.
People-oriented leader with strategic mindset and strong entrepreneurship skills.
Sound commercial acumen with pricing experience, strong negotiation skills as well as planning and organisation abilities.
Excellent account management skills, and customer-oriented mindset.
Solid contract management experience is highly preferred.
Excellent influencing, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Team player, who is also proactive and able to work independently.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
