Customer and Commercial - Business Development Manager (Commercial)
Cathay Subsidiary Services consists of several independent departments that provides professional services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal, Cathay Dining, HAS by Cathay and Vogue Laundry Service Limited.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head of Commercial in developing and implementing the company's commercial strategy.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, embedded team, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of commercial plans.
Manage and nurture relationships with strategic customers, negotiating contracts and securing new business opportunities.
Actively explore and solicit business opportunities to optimize the revenue performance.
Develop short-, medium- and long-term commercial strategy to maximize third party business contributions.
Prepare business proposals and quotations in responding to RFQ, RFI and RFP or other business enquires as required.
Participate in commercial negotiations – i.e. contract pricing, incentives, service terms and conditions.
Work with Commercial Excellence Team to develop customer pricing and contract strategies.
Provide sales forecasting and business intelligence to formulate market insights.
Identify and share customer needs to the Commercial Team for long-term planning and product development.
Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and client meetings, as needed.
Perform any projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Degree holder in business administration or other related disciplines.
Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in commercial, business development and/or customer services fields, including 3 years at supervisory level.
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading sales and marketing teams.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese. Mandarin would be an advantage.
